Alabama throttled Oklahoma 45-34 in Saturday night’s Orange Bowl, but it nearly proved costly on defense.

Redshirt senior LB Christian Miller went down with a left leg injury in the third quarter and had to be helped to the sideline. After going into the injury tent, Miller was helped to the locker room while not putting any weight on his left leg.

Things didn’t look too positive.

However, following the game, Nick Saban updated Miller’s status, and it doesn’t look to be as serious as it looked.

“Christian Miller may be the guy that will be most difficult,” Saban said during his postgame press conference. “I think everybody else will be fine. He’s really the guy that may have an issue. We don’t know the extent of his hamstring injury to this point, but when they do an MRI, we’ll find out. But he seemed to be the most serious injury that we have.”

AL.com is reporting that Miller pulled his hamstring, per sources.

Miller is second on the team with 8.5 sacks, and he’s a key cog in the Tide’s pass rush.
