Nick Saban updates status of key Alabama DL Christian Barmore ahead of Texas A&M game
The Alabama Crimson Tide had a great defensive effort in a 38-19 win at Mizzou on Saturday, but they were without a key player.
That’s because DL Christian Barmore, who is projected by some to be a first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, missed the game with a knee injury.
On Wednesday, coach Nick Saban said Barmore is looking like he’s ready to go and he thinks Barmore will contribute on Saturday against Texas A&M:
Alabama defensive lineman Christian Barmore appears set to be able to play against Texas A&M this week after missing the team's season-opener vs. Missouri due to a knee injury.
"We're hopeful that he'll be able to contribute in the game," Nick Saban said.

That would be huge for an Alabama team that did give up some runs up the middle to Mizzou RB Larry Rountree III. Barmore figures to slow that down quite a bit against the Aggies.
Will he be fully ready to go or will he be on a snaps limit? We’ll find out on Saturday afternoon.
