Nick Saban's daughter responds to reports about Ohio State's COVID issues: 'I call BS'
The college football world was rocked by reports Wednesday that the National Championship Game is in danger of being delayed due to COVID issues at Ohio State. One of Alabama’s most prominent supporters did not take long to accuse the Buckeyes of trying to buy more time for Justin Fields.
Kristen Saban Setas, daughter of Nick Saban, did not hold back on Twitter, calling “BS” on the Buckeyes’ reported COVID cases and comparing Fields’ injury situation to star wide receiver Jaylen Waddle.
“If you’re not confident to play then SAY IT. I call BS on the COVID cases,” she tweeted. “They’re just worried about their QB and want him to have more time to heal. If he’s hurt put in your backup. You didn’t see us postpone the rest of the season to wait for Waddle.”
The tweet (screenshotted below) has now been deleted. Nothing is truly ever deleted from the internet, and the tweet will certainly continue to make its way around OSU circles.

Completely agree.
We don’t stop the game because we have some important players hurt.
You can’t stop the game if your important players are hurt.
This has nothing to do with corona
Second that
She’s not wrong.
A good strategy by Nick to get his daughter to post this stuff for him. Solid subterfuge.
I call BS on that.
she posts stuff all the time, she says what SHE thinks… don’t believe look her up
I think it’s great that she is not afraid to post what she thinks.
Then why did she take it down?
I second that BS.
Third here
Ohio State has been the recipient of several accommodations this year. They must be feeling very entitled.
AGREED… I’d tell them to play of forfeit & I’d bet $$$$ they would play
yea the most likely would, they were the ones that were fighting to play anyway if im correct?
I agree. They may have some players that have it, but that is on them. They can play with what they have or forfeit.
If their issue is Covid related, then they need to be very transparent about the players or position group impacted. Then, the situation can be addressed and a plan formulated. If its injuries, well, that’s part of the game.
Throughout this season, a number of teams have played with depleted rosters. Some quite successfully, others, not so much. But they played. They didn’t check out.
If they have to delay the championship game under what appear to be somewhat cloudy circumstances, the Buckeyes will have to deal with the message that sends, after everything else that has surrounded their shortened season, for a long, long time.
It wasn’t BS when papa Nick had it..
Saying they are doing it just to get JF back healthy is low hanging fruit. When has more time to prepare for a game ever hurt Saban? Get off twitter..
I agree with her – especially since the “position group” was not reported in the few articles on here! You can see that she was well educated AT HOME!!
Transparency is critical at this point!
It’s always the sidewalk bama fans that talk the loudest. I dont hear Sarah Grimes running her mouth about Ohio St. hmmmm…..Kristens gonna be in time out when her daddy gets that arse whooped. fake championship game anyways….
