If I told you that players who start for Alabama under Nick Saban get drafted at a much higher rate than any other school’s starters, you’d probably roll your eyes and say “well, duh.”

However, it is impressive just how much more often players who start for at least one year for the Crimson Tide get drafted in the NFL Draft.

SportSourceAnalytics ran the data from 2010 to 2017 and found that 55 percent of Alabama starters get drafted to the NFL, while second-place Ohio State only sends 45 percent of starters to the pros via the draft:

Florida (43 percent) and LSU (41 percent) are also football factories, but no one can compare to Nick Saban and the Tide.

Having sent all 11 defensive starters from Week 1 of the 2016 season to the NFL the past two drafts is only the latest accomplishment for Alabama. Next year, there should be plenty more NFL Draft picks, too.
