Noah Clowney announced Saturday that he will be entering the NBA Draft, making no mention of potentially maintaining his college eligibility. The former 4-star prospect was a star for the Crimson Tide this season, averaging 9.8 points and 7.9 rebounds per game.

His size and physicality made him dangerous for a few reasons. For one, he is an excellent rebounder at the 4-spot on the floor. For another, he is a very efficient scorer, hitting 67% of his shots within the 3-point arc. He is not a reliable outside shooter, but hits at a strong enough rate (28.3%) to draw defenders and create space on the floor.

This is not exactly a surprising move. Clowney is an NBA talent right now and becomes the 4th Alabama star to enter the draft alongside Brandon Miller, Jahvon Quinerly and Charles Bediako. The latter 2 decided to maintain their college eligibility.

Alabama is going to lose a lot from last season, if that isn’t already apparent. Nimari Burnett recently entered the transfer portal and committed to Michigan. Dom Welch and Noah Gurley, on the other hand, are both out of eligibility.
