There is no denying Alabama has been dominant to start the season, but just how impressive have the Crimson Tide been in their 8-0 start?
According to one stat, Alabama is off to a historic start in the SEC. The Crimson Tide are 5-0 in the conference and have reached that mark with some incredible numbers.
Alabama’s offense has posted 40 or more points in all but one conference game and has eclipsed 50 points twice. The numbers are nearly mind-blowing as QB Jalen Hurts guides a talented offense that features four strong RBs in Damien Harris, Bo Scarbrough, Josh Jacobs, and Najee Harris. The Tide will even get a bye week to prepare for their matchup with LSU.
The defense has been just as impressive for Alabama and has allowed more than 10 points just once in the SEC and just twice all season. Combine the electric offense with a staunch defense and you get an unbelievable start.
According to the SEC Network, Alabama has outscored its opponents by 200 points in the first five SEC games. That mark is a new SEC record.
The SEC Network tweeted out the accomplishment:
Alabama has outscored its 1st 5 SEC opponent by 200 points this season: 238-38.
That's a new SEC record … that's also ridiculous. pic.twitter.com/X5pdbWwcWx

It will be interesting to see if the Tide can finish the season on an equally dominant stretch.
