Patrick Surtain II snags pick-6 in first NFL preseason game

Patrick Surtain II was the No. 9 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, going to the Denver Broncos.
Even though many Denver fans would have rather drafted Ohio State QB Justin Fields in that spot, Surtain is on a mission to prove his doubters wrong.
As you can see below, the former Alabama star snagged an impressive pick-6 in his first NFL preseason game for the Broncos, taking a Jake Browning pass 30 yards the other way for a touchdown:

Surtain has looked good for most of the first half. As you can see in this video, he had a nice pass breakup earlier in the game:

No, Surtain wasn’t working against Vikings starter Kirk Cousins, but it was still an incredible play. It looks like there will be plenty more of that in the future for the young cornerback.
