Chris Low of ESPN reported that Golding is leaving Alabama to replace Chris Partridge as defensive coordinator at Ole Miss. Golding, who is often criticized by Alabama fans, has been with Nick Saban at Alabama since 2018, and for the last 4 seasons as DC.
Golding came to Tuscaloosa after he coached defensive backs and handling the defensive coordinator duties at the University of Texas-San Antonio in 2016 and 2017.
Before Golding joined the UTSA staff, he spent 2 years as an assistant coach at Southern Miss where he coached the safeties.
Golding ahead of the Kansas State game was asked about his Alabama future, and he said, “I’m still under contract, so absolutely.”
