As one of the top players in the state of Alabama, Peter Woods has picked up 35 scholarship offers. On Friday night, the Thompson (Alabaster, Alabama) standout chose Clemson over Alabama.

After publicly pledging to the Tigers, Woods spoke to the media. He was asked about the difference between Dabo Swinney and Nick Saban.

“Dabo, to me, is a lot more lively. He’s a lot more understanding of teenage life,” Woods said, per ABC 33/40’s Chris McCulley. “He says all the time he specializes in 18- to 24-year-old men, and I really believe that’s true.”

The 6-3, 270-pound Woods is the class of 2023’s No. 3 defensive lineman and No. 23 recruit overall on the 247Sports Composite. Woods told reporters that Clemson won him over on his official visit.

Alabama should be fine for 2023 even if Woods goes on to sign with Clemson. The Crimson Tide has 10 players committed, including 2 5-star and 6 4-star prospects.
