Peyton and Eli Manning have become a popular portion of “Monday Night Football” as an alternate broadcast on ESPN2 to the traditional offering from ESPN. The “ManningCast” has seen a rise in viewership in just 2 weeks, and this week, they’ll bring on a prominent figure from college football.

Alabama coach Nick Saban will appear on the show, AL.com reported, as Saban is expected to hang with the former NFL quarterbacks for the majority of a quarter. This week’s game with Ole Miss will no doubt be a topic of discussion, at least from Ole Miss alum Eli Manning.

Saban was a recent guest on Eli Manning’s ESPN+ show, “Eli’s Places” and they had a conversation near Saban’s lake house, and took a ride on Saban’s boat as part of that show.

There are plenty of Alabama connections to Monday’s Philadelphia Eagles-Dallas Cowboys game.

They include 3 former Alabama players will start for the Eagles in quarterback Jalen Hurts, wide receiver DeVonta Smith and offensive lineman Landon Dickerson. The Cowboys will counter with receiver Amari Cooper and cornerback Trevon Diggs. There are a few familiar coaching names as well with former Alabama assistants Doug Nussmeier (Cowboys QB coach), Jeff Stoutland (Eagles OL coach) and Joe Pannunzio (Eagles asst special teams coordinator).

Last week, the Mannings broadcast averaged 1.9 million viewers, the most-watched alternate telecast in ESPN’s history and an increase of 138 percent from its debut.
