You could say Georgia Southern is proud of its 24-point loss at Alabama during the 2011 season.
The Eagles rushed for 302 yards on 39 carries that day, much to Nick Saban’s dismay. The memory was resurrected this week when Saban directed a NSFW rant involving a ‘tin horn’ that went viral in preview of Saturday’s game against Charleston Southern.
The Crimson Tide’s coach didn’t take kindly to a question asking if second-teamers would get more playing time against a perceived inferior opponent.
Now, the Eagles are commemorating the event with custom t-shirts:
