Quinnen Williams on Heisman: 'I feel like I should have been up there'
Alabama DL Quinnen Williams has been dominant this year, finishing fifth in the SEC in sacks with eight despite playing primarily as a defensive tackle.
He’s going to be a top pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, but he feels like he should have gotten more college recognition, too.
As you can see below, he said on Wednesday that he would have liked to have been invited to the Heisman Trophy ceremony on Saturday:
#Alabama DL @QuinnenD1 Williams on the Heisman Trophy:
"I feel like I should've been up there. But it's cool though. It's fun. I look up to @NdamukongSuh, & I know Ndamukong Suh went to the Heisman. So I was like, 'Man, it woulda been cool to go to the Heisman just like (him)."— Alex Byington (@_AlexByington) December 5, 2018
Looking up to Ndamukong Suh is probably a good thing for Williams’ game. Suh is one of the most dominant defensive tackles in the NFL.
Yes, he perhaps should be in New York this weekend with a chance to win the Heisman, but it’s safe to say he’ll be rooting for teammate Tua Tagovailoa on Saturday night.
