Kansas City Chiefs LB Reggie Ragland’s dream NFL teammate would be another former Alabama linebacker.
Ragland was recently asked that if he could have any player in NFL history as a teammate, who would he pick? It didn’t take the former Alabama linebacker too long to come up with an answer Crimson Tide fans and Chiefs fans will both appreciate: the late Derrick Thomas.
“Alabama roots, being the guy that he was, good football player, heard he was a good teammate, too,” Ragland offered as his reasons for picking Thomas.
Thomas spent three seasons at Alabama (1986-88) before being drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs. He spent his entire NFL career (1989-99) in Kansas City. Though Ragland was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in 2016, all his regular-season snaps have come with the Chiefs over the past two seasons (2017-18).
Thomas, who passed in 2000, was posthumously inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame (2009) and College Football Hall of Fame (2014).
If @reggieragland had to pick one player in NFL history to play with, he chose Derrick Thomas 🙏
