According to a report from Clay Travis, former USC head coach Steve Sarkisian will join Alabama’s coaching staff as a special offensive assistant.
Breaking news, for real: I'm told Alabama will announce former USC coach Steve Sarkisian as a special offensive assistant on Tuesday.

Known as an offensive coach, Sarkisian was an offensive coordinator for Southern Cal during ‘the glory years’ under Pete Carroll. He then had a five-year stint as the head coach at Washington before returning to Southern Cal. Sarkisian was fired five games into his second season over issues with alcohol.
Sarkisian’s familiarity with Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin certainly had to have played a role in his coming to Tuscaloosa.
