Report: Alabama losing talented young linebacker to transfer
One of Alabama’s 2015 recruits has decided to leave the team, as redshirt freshman Adonis Thomas is planning to transfer.
The news was first reported by Matt Zenitz of AL.com. Thomas committed to the Tide on National Signing Day over Florida, UCLA, Stanford, Texas A&M and Georgia during the 2015 recruiting cycle.
Thomas, from Lawrenceville, Ga., was rated as a four-star recruit, the No. 15 outside linebacker and the No. 16 overall prospect from Georgia in 2015, according to 247Sports. Thomas was also a 2015 Under Armour All-American selection coming out of high school.
Thomas reportedly plans to continue his playing career at the junior college level this season:
