Former USC coach Steve Sarkisian is reportedly on his way to Tuscaloosa to discuss a potential role on Alabama’s coaching staff, according to Rivals.com through Tuscaloosa News.

Sarkisian has not yet accepted a role on staff, but is believed to be considering a role as the team’s offensive analyst.  The former coach was fired from USC midway through the 2015 season due to alcohol-related issues.

The move would reunite Sarkisian with Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin, who he worked with on Pete Carroll’s staff at USC during the 2000s.

Sarkisian is 46-35 (31-26 Pac-12) as a head coach at Washington and USC and has previously served as a quarterbacks coach.
