Report: Key Alabama assistant among the top candidates for open Marshall job
After 11 years at the helm of the Marshall program, coach Doc Holliday called it quits after the 2020 campaign and retired.
The Thundering Herd are still searching for their next head coach and, like many searches these days, an Alabama assistant is prominently involved.
According to The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman, Alabama associate head coach/RB coach Charles Huff is 1 of 3 main candidates for the job, along with ex-Charlotte coach Brad Lambert and Louisville OC Dwayne Ledford:

Holliday has been at Marshall since 2010. During that time, he amassed an overall record of 85-54. He went 6-2 in bowl games.
Huff has been at Alabama for the past 2 seasons. He coached at Mississippi State in 2017.
