Robbie Ouzts, Alabama’s senior tight end and fullback, scored Alabama’s 3rd touchdown of the day against mercer Saturday afternoon, taking advantage of a busted coverage for a 44-yard touchdown reception.

The below play is just the 2nd touchdown of Ouzts’ career. A special moment for the senior, no doubt:

Alabama’s first 2 touchdowns of the day came from freshman phenom Ryan Williams, who rushed in a score before scoring in his usual manner – from the arm of Jalen Milroe. Expect Williams and the rest of the starting unit to be out of this game to start the 2nd half.

Alabama’s defense got in on the action for score No. 4, which happened soon after the above touchdown from Ouzts. Zabien Brown’s 66-yard fumble return for a touchdown is Alabama’s first non-offensive touchdown of the season.

The Crimson Tide are in excellent shape to, as everyone expected, take care of business against the Bears. If Alabama can win the next 2 matchups against Oklahoma and Auburn (which is never a guarantee) they’ll be in excellent shape to crack the 12-team College Football Playoff field at the end of the season.

For now, Alabama leads mercer 28-0 with 5:51 remaining in the 2nd quarter.
