Alabama’s 2022 recruiting class is off to a great start as the Crimson Tide just picked up commitment No. 2 for the future recruiting cycle.

The latest prospect to commit to Nick Saban’s program is Mobile, Ala., native Robert Woodyard of Williamson High School. News of Woodyard’s commitment to Alabama was first reported by Tim Watts of 247Sports.

Woodyard joins Alabaster native Jeremiah Alexander as the only two prospects currently committed to Alabama’s 2022 recruiting class at this time.

According to 247Sports Composite Rankings, Woodyard is the No. 5 overall prospect from the state of Alabama and the nation’s No. 2 inside linebacker prospect for the 2022 recruiting cycle. Woodyard picked Alabama over scholarship offers from Auburn, Georgia, Kentucky and Indiana.
