Ryan Williams has been added to the watch list for the Biletnikoff Award after a strong start to the 2024 season.

The honor is presented annually to college football’s most outstanding FBS receiver, regardless of position. This includes players seeing time at wide receiver, tight end, slot back, and running back.

The Alabama freshman wide receiver Williams totals 19 receptions for 544 yards with 6 touchdowns, also posting 1 rushing score this year. He’s had two performances in which he’s crossed the century mark.

One of those was the 41-34 win over Georgia, when Williams tallied 6 catches for 177 yards and 1 touchdown. The other was the 63-0 shutout victory over Western Kentucky in the first game of the season when Williams totaled 2 receptions for 139 yards and 2 touchdowns.

In his latest showing, the 40-35 loss to Vanderbilt, Williams was one of the bright spots for the Crimson Tide, despite, the major upset. He accounted for two of the team’s scores — one through the air and one on the ground — making three catches for 82 yards.

Semifinalists for the honor will be announced on Nov. 18, with the three finalists announced just days later on Nov. 26.

The Biletnikoff winner will be revealed on Dec. 12.
