The final Coaches Poll of the 2023 season is out, and the SEC lands 6 teams in the ranking, including 4 in the top 10.

Georgia paces the league at No. 3 behind Michigan and Washington, and ahead of SEC newcomer Texas, which checks in at No. 4. It’s the first time the Wolverines have finished at the top of the coaches poll after they shared a national title in 1997 by leading the Associated Press rankings that year and their other championships came before the start of the coaches poll in 1950.

Alabama at No. 5, Missouri at No. 8 — its first top-10 finish since 2013 — and No. 9 Ole Miss round out the top 10 for the league. LSU is also ranked No. 12, and Tennessee moved up 6 spots to No. 17, which was tied for the 3rd-largest move of the ranking.

Another SEC newcomer, Oklahoma, made it at No. 15.

The SEC coaches who vote in the poll are Missouri’s Eli Drinkwitz, Texas A&M’s Mike Elko, Auburn’s Hugh Freeze, Florida’s Billy Napier, Alabama’s Nick Saban, Georgia’s Kirby Smart and Kentucky’s Mark Stoops.
