Slade Bolden, a reliable wide receiver for Alabama, has announced his plans for the 2022 season.

“I played my heart out every game and did everything I could to help this team win,” he wrote on social media. “With that being said, I will be declaring for the 2022 NFL Draft to chase my dreams that I’ve worked hard to achieve.”

Bolden also thanked the coaching staff, teammates and fans.

The redshirt junior out of West Monroe, Louisiana proved to be a versatile player for the Crimson Tide as he contributed at wideout, on special teams and at quarterback in the Wildcat formation. He made 35 receptions for 364 yards and 3 touchdowns, and added 13 punt returns for 101 yards to go with 5 kickoff returns for a total of 67 yards.

In Monday’s national championship, he made 7 catches for 44 yards, and in the SEC Championship Game stepped up in the absence of John Metchie III to convert 3 first downs across his season-high five catches for 54 yards.
