A mic’d up Nick Saban was one of the highlights of Alabama’s 2021 A-Day spring game.

In addition to allowing Saban to speak to the ESPN broadcasters, the mic also captured a hilarious moment when the Crimson Tide coach zinged wide receiver Slade Bolden for a poor pass on an end-around trick play.

“Slade, I can throw it behind my back better than that,” Saban said. “I can flip it behind my back …”

Bolden, who played quarterback in high school, offered his response Sunday on social media.

“I was throwing it away…” Bolden wrote in a tweet, adding laughing emojis.

Bolden finished the spring game with 5 catches on 7 targets for 56 yards, helping the White team to a 13-10 victory over the Crimson squad.
