Texas and Alabama are unquestionably two of the biggest, most storied brands in college football.

The two programs, however, have been on very different paths for more than a decade now.

The Crimson Tide are 151-17 the last 12 seasons since beating Texas 37-21 in the 2009 national title game and have won 5 additional national championships during that span, according to ESPN stats guru Chris Fallica, aka the Bear.

The Longhorns, meanwhile, are just 84-67 during the same span, giving them one more win over that time frame than … Northwestern.

Even more amazingly, Alabama has won more games by 24 points or more in the last 12 years, 92, than Texas has won total.

Of course, those numbers won’t mean anything when the two teams face off in Austin on Saturday.

That said, with Alabama currently a 20-point favorite, observers fully expect Alabama to exhibit its dominance over Texas on Saturday in the same way it has for the last 12 seasons.

The game between the Longhorns and Crimson Tide will kick off at Noon (ET) on Saturday and be televised by Fox Sports.
