Alabama OC Steve Sarkisian’s name is popping up in several coaching searches these past couple of years.

It’s clear to see why, as his Crimson Tide offenses are incredible, putting up points and routing opponents on a routine basis.

However, don’t expect Sarkisian to end up taking over for Will Muschamp at South Carolina. Per CBS Sports, Sark is no longer a candidate for the open Gamecocks job.

Names currently connected to the South Carolina opening include Hugh Freeze, Shane Beamer, Billy Napier, Scott Satterfield and more.

For now, Sarkisian will focus on beating up on a rebuilding LSU team on Saturday night. We haven’t heard the last of him being connected to head coaching vacancies, though.
