Terrion Arnold explains why he never lost hope for 2021 Alabama at Auburn
The 2021 Iron Bowl was one for the ages.
Alabama and Auburn battled it out, going into 4 overtimes before Alabama ultimately won 24-22.
Auburn held a late lead and Alabama had jut 60 seconds to drive down the field to tie things up. It was an unlikely moment, but defensive back Terrion Arnold explained why the Tide had faith late in the game.
“You just remember Auburn, Jordan-Hare Stadium, they start chanting ‘F Nick Saban,’ and we were like ‘Alright, man, Ok,'” Arnold said on The Next Round. “Me and (Jalen Milroe) we’re looking around and we’ve still got hope. Some of the guys are like, ‘How do you still have hope? We’re down with 60 seconds left, 0 timeouts.’ J-Mil’s out there like, ‘Hey, we’ve got Bryce Young.'”
And Young delivered for Alabama. He led the Tide down the field, scoring with less than 30 seconds left to tie the game and send it into overtime. From there, Alabama managed to win a brutal fight in overtime.
