Terrion Arnold knows everyone pulling for Alabama was sweating bullets late in the Iron Bowl. However, Arnold says he wasn’t worried when Jalen Milroe and the offense lined up for 4th-and-goal late against Auburn.

The offense needed to cover 31 yards for the game-winning score, but it’s the kind of play Arnold says he expects anytime Milroe lets it fly. As soon as the QB stepped up, Arnold said he knew it would be good.

“He threw it deep! Any time Jalen Milroe throws the ball deep, I know. I know it’s a play,” said Arnold. “I saw him step up in the pocket, I said he’s got one.”

As for the 4th-and-31 situation, Arnold admitted everyone outside of the Crimson Tide faithful was probably a naysayer in the moment. However, he said the team remained strong and believed in Milroe and the offense.

“Everybody besides Bama Nation, they thought it was over. Before the play I got up, went like this, I said man, I know,” Arnold explained. “Like Jalen Milroe — my brother, stepping up in the pocket and then Kool-Aid sitting right here. We were like dang this kind of reminds me of last year. But when he stepped up in the pocket, I knew. And IB made a great catch, but he makes plays like that in college so I wasn’t surprised.”

In the end, it was a storybook ending for Alabama with Isaiah Bond reeling in Milroe’s game-winning pass in the end zone. With the win, the Crimson Tide remain alive in the College Football Playoff race and will face Georgia for the SEC title next weekend.
