They say everything is bigger in Texas, but apparently that isn’t always the case.

If anything, though, you’d expect the Lone Star State to have longhorn steer with, you know, the longest horns. After all, the state’s flagship university goes by the nickname “Longhorns.”

However, you’d be wrong, as the Texas longhorn with the longest horns actually lives in Alabama, according to this video shared on YouTube by Guinness World Records:

Those horns measure in at an impressive 10 feet, 7.4 inches. The steer’s name is Poncho Via and he is seven years old.

Will Texas ever be able to reclaim this record? We’ll be watching farms and ranches across the Lone Star State closely.
