The hype continues to build for former Alabama wide receiver Amari Cooper in the NFL.

Hall of Fame wide receiver and former Raiders’ great Tim Brown raved about Cooper recently, and he reiterated that Cooper’s impact will be felt immediately.

“This guy is just a superb, great receiver and I think he’s going to be dominant Day 1,” Brown said, via CSN Bay Area. “I saw him at the Heisman deal (Cooper was a finalist for the award) and I told him then that I hope he’s still there when the Raiders pick, because there was no way they could bypass him. I just thought that he was that great of a not-miss-type pick. I can’t wait to see him Day 1. I think this guy is going to be great.”

Brown holds the Raiders’ career receiving numbers with 14,734 yards, 1,070 receptions and 99 touchdowns en route to an illustrious NFL career.

Will Amari Cooper be the second coming of Brown? Time will only tell.

Brown, however, hasn’t been the only one to rave about Cooper this offseason. Former NFL quarterback turned analyst David Carr — who’s brother plays for the Raiders — talked up Cooper in June.

“If you are an Amari Cooper fan, go out and buy the jersey because I’m seeing some routes this kid’s running, and it’s unbelievable the separation he’s getting,” Carr said. “I understand it’s OTAs and it’s early, but he is so crisp in and out of his cuts… you gotta see this guy on film.”

Cooper remains one of the most anticipated rookies to watch during the 2015 season.
