Tom Hart doesn’t mince words when previewing Alabama at Texas A&M

One of the marquee games in the SEC this week is Alabama at Texas A&M, and this will be the latest barometer for how the Aggies measure up with the No. 1 Crimson Tide.
Tom Hart of the SEC Network weighed in on the matchup during a segment on “McElroy and Cubelic In the morning,” on WJOX out of Birmingham, Alabama.
Hart recalled that Jimbo Fisher has never lost 3 straight conference games in a row, and wondered if Fisher had ever lost 3 games in a row in general, certainly not in the same season.
“I think this is another Alabama beat down,” Hart said. “Just as they’ve been cruising, I know they’ve got some injury issues at running back. They’re not as healthy as they want to be. It was obvious against Ole Miss, Alabama wanted to turn that into let’s dial it back and go I-formation and slug it out, and if you’re going to go with a light box, we’re going to pound you.”
He noted that the same game plan doesn’t work against Texas A&M, because slowing the game down does the Aggies a favor. Hart said the Aggies have deficiencies across the offense except for at running back.
“I would say they have a proficient tight end, but they can’t seem to get Jalen Wydermeyer the ball,” Hart said.
Hart also noted that Fisher is like Clemson’s Dabo Swinney in that neither has taken advantage of the transfer portal to a significant degree.
