While they might have battled it out on the field, the Alabama connection led to a wholesome meeting between Tua Tagovailoa and Bryce Young following Sunday’s matchup between the Miami Dolphins and the Carolina Panthers.

Tagovailoa and Young shared a long hug following the game on Sunday, and it looked like Tagovailoa had some words of wisdom for the rookie quarterback. Young certainly has a lot to learn as he gains his NFL footing, and Tagovailoa is not a bad mentor to have.

The Dolphins took the game easily 42-21 after the Panthers took an early 14-0 lead. Tagovailoa had 262 yards and 3 touchdowns, while Young had 217 yards and 1 touchdown.

Tagovailoa and Young missed one another at Alabama by a year, but Young credits Tagovailoa for being one of the reasons he joined the Tide.

Tagovailoa finished his Alabama career with 7,442 yards and 87 touchdowns, and Young followed his success with 8,356 yards and 80 touchdowns. Now, the 2 are forming NFL careers and will likely continue competing and learning from each other for years to come.
