Tua Tagovailoa responds to deep-ball doubters with epic answer
Tua Tagovailoa earned AFC Offensive Player of the Week to kick off the 2023 campaign with an eye-popping performance in the Miami Dolphins’ victory at the Los Angeles Chargers.
However, in case anyone still had doubts about his arm strength, the former Alabama quarterback dropped the mic with an awesome response to a press conference question.
Tagovailoa completed 28 of his 45 passes for 466 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 1 interception. When asked about those who are questioning his ability to throw deep, Tagovailoa simply cited the numbers from Week 1.

“I don’t care,” Tagovailoa said. “466. That’s what 466 is if I can’t throw deep.”
Armed with explosive weapons such as Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, Tagovailoa is a legitimate MVP candidate if he can stay healthy.
Tagovailoa is clearly finding his voice as a pro and is unwilling to accept any criticism that isn’t constructive.
Prior to the season, Ryan Clark had to walk back comments about Tagovailoa’s bulked up frame after the national champion fired back.
“He probably knows more about me than I know about me. I don’t know, Ryan’s been out of the league for some time,” said Tagovailoa. “I don’t know, it’s a little weird when other people are talking about other people when they’re not that person, it’s a little weird.”
Tagovailoa and the Dolphins will aim for a 2-0 start when they travel to the rival New England Patriots for a Sunday Night Football matchup.
