Tua Tagovailoa had an eventful Mother’s Day Sunday.

The Miami Dolphins selected the former Alabama quarterback No. 5 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft, and although the Dolphins haven’t released the details of Tagovailoa’s rookie contract, the quarterback is slated to make around a $19.5 million signing bonus with a total contract north of $30 million.

So, the Dolphins quarterback spent a little bit on his mother, Diane, on her special day. Tagovailoa bought his Mom a brand new Cadillac Escalade. He shared the video on social media.

“I know you wanted something that would be able to carry everyone,” Tagovailoa said to his mother.

“This is mine?” his mother Diane Tagovailoa asked.

“This is yours,” Tua said. “So you can go try your new ride out.”

The Tagovailoas are a very close-knit family, and his brother, Talia, recently entered the NCAA Transfer Portal. With Tua now in South Florida, it wouldn’t surprise anyone to see Talia transfer to a program to where he’s close to his brother and family.

In 3 career seasons, Tua Tagovailoa threw for nearly 7,500 yards and 87 touchdowns compared to just 11 interceptions.
