Alabama's underrated commit: Keaton Anderson
One of several incoming linebackers in Alabama’s 2015 recruiting class, Keaton Anderson isn’t as highly-rated as some of the nation’s other top tacklers coming out of high school, but the three-star from Florence, Ala., is anxious to prove his worth and perform at the Capstone.
Primarily recruited by Alabama assistants Billy Napier and Kevin Steele, many thought Anderson would wind up in Knoxville after his uncle, father and brother all played football at Tennessee. The 6-foot-1, 215-pounder has been dead set on the Crimson Tide since committing in May and repeated his stance in a recent interview with 247Sports.
He chose Alabama over offers from Tennessee, LSU and Miami among others.
“I have talked to the coaches a little bit, but they know that they don’t have to worry about me going anywhere,” Keaton said. “We talk about how everything is going with school and stuff like that. I am taking my official visit sometime in January. I am not taking visits anywhere else.”
