Video: Why Alabama smokes cigars after wins over Tennessee

Cigars often signify victory. Legendary Boston Celtics coach Red Auerbach would famously light a victory cigar when the Celtics were about to win a game.
Likewise, according to Gary Conger, a cigar shop owner, fans of both Alabama and Tennessee enjoy celebrating a win in the rivalry by smoking a victory cigar.
“It’s made to signify accomplishment,” he said in the video. “It’s also meant to signify success at something.”
Fortunately for fans of the winning team of Saturday’s matchup in Knoxville, President Obama recently removed the ban on Cuban cigars:

Saturday’s matchup between the No. 1 Crimson Tide and No. 9 Volunteers is set to kick off at 2:30 p.m. Central time at Neyland Stadium. The game can be seen on CBS.
