ESPN SEC reporter Ed Aschoff and SEC Network host Paul Finebaum joined “SportsCenter” Sunday to discuss the reported possibility of Lane Kiffin leaving Alabama to reunite with friend and former colleague Ed Orgeron at LSU.

Aschoff and Finebaum both noted that Kiffin is seeking another head coaching job, but think that the play-caller’s strained relationship with head coach Nick Saban could be a factor in his decision. Finebaum went as far as to say, “I think the marriage between Lane and Nick is over.”

Finebaum noted the Houston job, recently vacated by Tom Herman, could potentially appeal to Kiffin. If he strikes out on the head coaching front, Finebaum expects to see Kiffin in Baton Rouge next season.

Kiffin joined Alabama as the team’s offensive coordinator in 2014 after getting fired from USC the previous season. Orgeron was on Kiffin’s staff at Southern Cal and Tennessee. The two also coached as Trojan assistants under Pete Carroll.
