With Florida State’s spring camp now in the books, the Seminoles’ focus shifts to a summer of preparation in anticipation for the epic Sept. 2 showdown against Alabama in the opening of Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

With a date against the Crimson Tide already on the Seminoles’ minds, AL.com did a nice job of rounding up the thoughts of several FSU players exiting the spring.  FSU head coach Jimbo Fisher also shared his thoughts on how opening against Alabama helps his program focus heading into the summer months.

Since taking over for former FSU head coach Bobby Bowden in 2010, Fisher has yet to lose a season opener with the Seminoles. No stranger to big season opening games, Alabama has not lost a season opener under Nick Saban. Obviously, something’s gotta give in the 2017 opener.
