Alabama true freshman quarterback Jalen Hurts did not have his best game (nor his worst) in the team’s 35-31 loss to Clemson in Monday night’s national championship, completing under 42 percent of his passes with 194 total yards and two touchdowns.

The Tigers did an excellent job of containing Hurts and keeping him in the pocket, forcing him to make uncomfortable throws down the field due to constant pressure.

Luckily for the Crimson Tide, their SEC Offensive Player of the Year has at least another two years of eligibility, and a incredibly poised Hurts will only continue to get better as he matures under coach Nick Saban’s “process.”

Watch the above video for Hurts’ thoughts from the game in his post-game interview.
