Nick Saban has turned Alabama from a middle tier SEC football program to the most powerful force in college football.

And Michael Casagrande of AL.com found another way to visualize Saban’s dominance at Alabama.

For one, the Crimson Tide have spent more weeks at No. 1 in the country than any other team in college football history with 138 weeks. Ohio State is second at 105. Before Saban was hired in 2007, the Crimson Tide had spent just 35 weeks as the No. 1 team in the country.

Alabama has also been No. 1 for at least 1 week in the past 15 years, since Saban took over.

Not enough? Here’s another; The Crimson Tide have been the top dogs in the AP Poll for 11.5% of its history.
