Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts paid respect to a military member with a salute on Saturday night.

Hurts rushed in a touchdown for Alabama early in the second-ranked Crimson Tide’s game at No. 16 Mississippi State. Toward the end of the scoring run, he was pushed out of bounds in the end zone and had to slow himself going toward the sideline.

At that point, Hurts noticed military personnel standing between the crowd and the sideline. That’s when Hurts initiated the salute, to which the military member reciprocated.

It’s always good to see players paying their respects — particularly on Saturday, which happened to be Veterans Day, as well.

The game in Starkville was tied up 14-14 at the time of this post. The second quarter was just getting started.
