With the 2019 NFL Draft kicking off on Thursday night, Alabama RB Josh Jacobs is considered a borderline first-round pick.

That’s not a huge deal for Jacobs, who has dealt with a ton of adversity in his life, going from living in a car to being an unheralded high school recruit to becoming a breakout star for the Crimson Tide.

Former Clemson (and current Houston Texans) QB Deshaun Watson has followed Jacobs’ journey, and as you can see below, he offered an inspirational message to Jacobs ahead of the draft:

Watson was a first-round pick a couple of years ago, and it’ll be interesting to see if Jacobs goes in Round 1 or has to wait until Friday to hear his name called.

Either way, whatever team drafts him will be getting a motivated player who will be unfazed by whatever is thrown his way.
