Quinnen Williams is already turning heads in Jets training camp.

The No. 3 overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft was a day late getting to training camp due to a hangup in his signing bonus, but he reported the very next day. Williams ended up signing a $32.5 million contract, including a $21.6 million signing bonus.

“It was just a thing about taxes,” Williams said while explaining the hangup. “My tax bracket is inside Alabama right now, so it would be a great thing to get my tax in Alabama. So having to defer a lot of it, next year I’ll be a resident of New Jersey.”

Well, the Jets are sure glad he made it to training camp, because on Thursday, Williams absolutely mauled a running back during practice:

Former Alabama OT Jonah Williams — also a first-round pick in this year’s NFL Draft — said blocking Williams was like trying to “block a 300-pound bar of soap.”

Williams sure looked it in that highlight.
