WATCH: Nick Saban responds to Tennessee fan who threw a cup of ice on him
On some level, most Tennessee fans know what they’re in for when Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide come to Knoxville. One Vol supporter, however, lost his cool and threw a cup of ice at Saban as he left the field at halftime. The fan was promptly removed.
After the game, Saban put a positive spin on the incident.
“I’d rather have somebody upset when we’re playing on the road,” Saban told reporters.
It’s no secret that Saban loves the competitive spirit of rivalries. It appears that dominating the Third Saturday in October rivalry didn’t take away from the intensity of Saturday’s game.
