Tua Tagovailoa didn’t waste any time getting Alabama on the board on Saturday against New Mexico State.

The Alabama QB found WR Henry Ruggs III for a 75-yard touchdown pass as they connected near the line of scrimmage and Ruggs weaved his way through the secondary. The play took just 13 seconds.

It was quite a dramatic improvement from last week for Ruggs, who had just 2 catches for 14 yards in the win over Duke.

It’s also the longest touchdown of the early part of the season for the Crimson Tide.

Plays like this should accelerate getting the backups and third-string players in for Alabama.
