The Arkansas Razorbacks lost at home to No. 1 Alabama on Saturday, but the Hogs did manage to put up 31 points in a 65-31 blowout.

Still, a loss is a loss, and coach Chad Morris knows his team has a lot of work to do.

However, he also knows just how good Alabama is, and discussed the Crimson Tide’s dominance after the game (via AL.com):

“Alabama’s the best team in the country for a reason and I think they showed it,” he said. “I think that they had speed all over the field. They’ve got an extremely effective and impressive as I’ve seen as an offensive performance. … This is the best we’ve played against the best team we’ve played. We gave up three turnovers and 21 points. That’s hard. Against a team like Alabama, they don’t need any help.”

Morris also had plenty of praise for QB Tua Tagovailoa, who had another huge effort on Saturday afternoon:

“I knew their team speed was really good,” he said. “Until you get them out on the field and see them in person and create the separation they can create and they get the ball in their hands and do things with it. Now again, Tua did a fantastic job. I mean, wow, he’s very effective and had time to throw the football and was very effective and every efficient and you saw that.”

The Hogs showed signs of life, though, so it’ll be interesting to see how they fare against non-Alabama teams.
