Arkansas RB Alex Collins will forgo his senior season to enter the 2016 NFL Draft.

And he wrote a letter to Razorback fans titled “WPS Always” to explain his decision.

He weighed the possibilities of what a senior season could’ve meant:

Without a doubt this has been one of the most difficult weeks of my life as I try to make the right decision for my future. If I return, getting my degree and perhaps breaking new records would be within my reach.

To be able to share those records and awards with the team and fans would be an incredible experience for all of us.

But he ultimately decided that the NFL opportunity was once-in-a-lifetime and something he needed to pursue in 2016.

Collins rushed for 1,577 yards in the 2015 season, which was his third 1,000-plus yard performance in as many seasons.

He joins teammate Jonathan Williams in the pursuit of the NFL at the RB position.
