Arkansas returns a ton of production on the defensive side of the ball heading into the upcoming season but it appears the Razorbacks are still searching for some help in the secondary.

The good news for the Razorbacks is they may have found it in a recent addition to the NCAA transfer portal.

Former starting Tulsa cornerback Allie Green recently announced the Razorbacks have extended a scholarship his way. This news comes one day after Green publicly announced his decision to enter the portal.

Green was a senior starter for Tulsa’s defense last season, which had a top 10 national defensive efficiency rating for the 2020 college football season, but he still has one season of eligibility after the NCAA gave all players the option of taking a free season of eligibility. Green also started 20 games the previous two seasons for Tulsa’s defense.

For his college career, Green has 116 tackles, defended 10 passes, with one interception, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. He is a native of Austin, Texas.

Should Green transfer to Arkansas, he’ll have the opportunity to play against Texas in Fayetteville this season.

Green recently shared a highlight video showcasing his skills on the football field. Based on his film, he is a player that Arkansas fans should continue to monitor leading up to his pending transfer commitment.
