The Arkansas Razorbacks picked up a big commitment for their 2019 recruiting class on Saturday, landing their first player from Arkansas to the mix.

3-star 2019 ATH Malik Chavis of Rison, Arkansas, announced he was committing to the Razorbacks on Saturday afternoon.

Chavis, a wide receiver and defensive back, posted about his decision on his Twitter account, as you can see below:

According to 247Sports, Chavis is the No. 80 athlete in the class of 2019 and the No. 7 overall recruit from the state of Arkansas.

With Chavis’s commitment, the Hogs now have three players in their 2019 class. New coach Chad Morris has one player from Arkansas, one from Tennessee and one from Texas — three areas the Hogs need to recruit well to be competitive.
