Bret Bielema doesn’t currently have a quarterback controversy on his hands at Arkansas, but there’s a chance he very well could.

It is believed Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller — who will be a senior in 2015 — will transfer due to the play of redshirt freshman J.T. Barrett.

A preseason Heisman candidate, Miller suffered a shoulder injury in August that ended his season. With the play of Barrett this season, it’s doubtful Miller will retake the starting job for Urban Meyer.

Sporting News’ Matt Hayes lists Arkansas among the best candidates to land Miller.

If you’re going to do it, why not go somewhere where the coach has had success with the very thing you’re trying to do? Bret Bielema made it work with Russell Wilson at Wisconsin; he’ll figure a way to make it work with Miller — and increase his draft stock.

Junior signal caller Brandon Allen will likely return for the Razorbacks in 2015, following a solid 2014 campaign. Allen started all 12 games, completing 56 percent of his passes for 2,125 yards and 18 touchdowns to just 5 interceptions.

Allen played banged up toward the end of the season and struggles throwing the deep ball. Miller is more of a threat to run the football, and improved as a passer in two seasons under Meyer.

It’s unknown whether or not Bielema would be interested in bringing Miller to Fayetteville or if Miller has expressed any interest.

After a 6-6 season and with plenty of talent on the offensive side of the ball, Miller would make the Hogs a very interesting team in 2015.
