Arkansas eliminated from bowl contention before season finale vs. Mizzou

It’s been a long year for the Arkansas Razorbacks, who came into the season with bowl expectations.

However, after struggling their way to 4-7 entering the final week of the year, the Hogs’ season will come to an inglorious end following Friday’s game against Mizzou.

That’s because even if the Razorbacks get to 5-7, they don’t have a chance of making a bowl game, thanks to a low APR score. Therefore, Friday’s home game will be the end of the Hogs’ season:

Mizzou, on the other hand, has a lot to play for in the Battle Line Rivalry, as the Tigers clinched a bowl game against Vanderbilt this weekend and can still improve to 7-5 with a win over the Hogs.

Therefore, Friday’s game could be an ugly one for the Razorbacks. But, it could also spell the end of the Bret Bielema era, as Arkansas has already fired AD Jeff Long and could be moving on to the embattled coach next.
